Petition of Elias Anderson

To His Honor Peter RUSSELL Esquire President
Administering the Government of the Province of
Upper Canada &ca. &ca. &ca. In Council

The Petition of Elias ANDERSON

humbly sheweth

That your Honor's Petitioner joined the Royal British Standard at Auchquaga in the year 1778 having made his escape from the Mohawk River.

That at Auchquaga he enlisted into Butler's Rangers, with whom he served untill the reduction of that Corps in 1784, as per his Discharge which is hereunto annexed.

That through some mistake his name has not been enrolled on the U:E: list tho he made application to that effect.

He therefore humbly prays that your Honor would be pleased to order his name to be inserted on the said List & as in duty bound he will ever pray.
