To whom this may Concern--

I do hereby Certify that I knew the Late Nathaniel ASHFORD in the time of the American War Employed in the Kings works as artificer in the Barrack Master and General Hospital Department in New York, and that he was a Native of New Jersey at or near Amboy, that he always was Looked on as a faithful Subject to his Majesty George the Third, and that the Bearer Ann ASHFORD has Six Children Widow to the Deseased Nathaniel ASHFORD.
