Witness on behalf of Shadrack Firman of Virginia

These are to Certify that the Bearer Shederick FIRMAN, was sent from Head Quarters to the Police in New York in 1781 and that he was at that time allmost Blind by the ill treatment he had received from the Rebels in Virginia and that he was recommended to the Gentlemen of the Police to be Provided for as a Loyal active man, and that I had seen him afterwards to be led about Blind as witness my hand
