I hereby Certify that Mr. Joel STONE, a Loyal Refugee from Connecticut, served some time in Govr. Wentworths Volunteers and afterwards obtained my Warrant to recruit a Company in the third Battn. of DeLancey’s Brigade--he had the misfortune to be taken a Prisoner while on duty, and carried to Connecticut and with difficulty escaped a prosecution for High Treason against the States--
