Conformable to Instructions received from His Excellency Sir William HOWE to Compleat the Regiment under my Command without loss of time, and by permission of Major General MASSEY Commanding in this District, I send partys to Newfoundland to recruit,

I therefore for the good of His Majestys Service and the furtherance of this duty request your countenance to such Officers & partys of my Regiment who on their arrival will wait for your approbation, I am with the utmost respect
