Loyalist Muster Rolls
Governor Wentworth's Volunteers

There was but one company of this unit, which was formed in October of 1777.

Many of its personnel became officers in other Provincial Regiments, such as the Queen's American Rangers, King's American Dragoons and others.

There are both subsistence and muster rolls for the Volunteers, all taken on Long Island between October of 1777 and April of 1781. There are many gaps, most notably all of 1780.

For additional information on this regiment please see the Regimental History of Governor Wentworth's Volunteers.

The rolls for Governor Wentworth's Volunteers are located primarily in National Archives of Canada, RG 8, "C" Series, Volume 1893. There are a few others scattered elsewhere, but no others grouped together.
