Loyalist Muster Rolls
Georgia Light Dragoons

Despite the name, this unit consisted primarily of Scottish soldiers from the 71st Highlanders and Provincials from several northern regiments.

In 1779 the unit consisted of two troops, but there is no known roll of the 1st Troop. The two troops were shortly thereafter merged into one, which was apparently disbanded in 1781.

The few muster rolls for this unit are in the National Archives of Canada, Ward Chipman Papers, MG 23, Volume 25.

For additional information on this unit, please see the Regimental History of the Georgia Light Dragoons.
