The Memorial of the Civil Officers and Artificers belonging to His Majestys Ordnance at New York
Most Humbly Sheweth
That at a time which calls for the most vigorous exertions of every faithful Servant of the Publick.
That the Memorialists consider and esteem it their indispensible duty to make an offer of their Services to be employed by your Excellency in Arms in such regulation as may be compatible with their proper duties.
That the Memorialists are very sensible of the Honor they derive from their connection with the Royal Artillery which entitle them to a prheminence over all other Publick Departments.
That several Gentlemen of the Commissary Generalís Department have lately got Provincial Rank, who have never been honored with so much Trust and distinction in the highly important Branch of the Kingís Service.
Your Memorialists therefore most humbly Pray, That your Excelly. Will be pleased to order That they may be arrayed, and that the Officers may be appointed to suitable Rank, agreeable to the nature of their Service, and the Examples established-
